Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday proposed to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to act as a mediator to resolve the crisis surrounding the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. He did so during a telephone conversation, in which he also expressed his condolences for the death of Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.
