The ERC Ingolstadt from the German Ice Hockey League has stepped up the offensive and signed the former NHL professional Stefan Matteau.
The 28-year-old American comes from the Swedish first division club Linköping HC to second place in the table until the end of the season.
Matteau, who was selected as the 29th pick in the first round of the 2012 NHL draft, was unable to assert himself in the North American elite class.
In seven years he played for five clubs and made 92 appearances (six goals, five assists).
