The ERC Ingolstadt from the German Ice Hockey League brought back defender Maury Edwards.

The Canadian comes from the Kölner Haien and has been given a one-year contract with the 2014 champions. The Ingolstadt announced this on Sunday.

Edwards already played for the ERC from 2018 to 2020, in both seasons he was the best defender in the DEL and was voted defender of the year in 2019/20.

“The important position of the right-shooting defender, who we missed last season, has now been filled with quality with Maury. With him we get an absolute team player with impeccable character,” said sporting director Tim Regan.
