FC Bayern and Eintracht Frankfurt are said to have achieved a breakthrough in negotiations over the transfer of left-back Nathaniel Brown, who is currently with the German national soccer team at the 2026 World Cup. The change is expected to take place soon for 55 million euros. Another DFB star would be very happy about that.
As “Bild” reported on Sunday, (almost) nothing stands in the way of national player Nathaniel Brown’s move from Eintracht Frankfurt to FC Bayern. As a result, both clubs have agreed on a transfer fee of 55 million euros. The only question that remains open is how exactly the bonus payments already included in the 55 million euros will flow to the Main.
When asked about the rumors about his teammate’s impending move from the DFB team, Bayern star Aleksandar Pavlovic made it clear. “I would definitely be happy! That would be great,” said the central midfielder on the “Sky” microphone after the 7-1 opening win against Curacao in Houston. Brown is “a great boy and player. We get along very well and I was very happy for him that he scored today.”
FC Bayern: Brown immediately before signing
Unless something unexpected happens and the full-back, who scored the 5-1 win against the World Cup debutant with a remarkable volley, passes the obligatory medical check, Brown and Pavlovic will soon be on the field together, and not just for the national soccer team. According to “Bild”, the investigation into the designated FCB new signing will take place soon.
It is currently still unclear whether he will have to face competition from Alphonso Davies at FC Bayern from next season. The Canadian is considered a candidate for sale because he is too expensive and prone to injuries. From the current squad, Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic can also defend at the back left.
Raphael Guerreiro, however, is leaving FC Bayern for free at the end of the month.
