Diesel has appointed a new CEO. Eraldo Poletto, who was previously CEO for the North American market, will take over the overall management of the Italian denim label, which, like Marni and Maison Margiela, belongs to the OTB Group, Diesel announced on Tuesday.
He succeeds Massimo Piombini, who “fulfilled the task entrusted to him by founder and Chairman Renzo Rosso and the Board of Directors of the OTB Group to redesign the strategy and the repositioning plan for Diesel”, according to Milan.
As CEO for Diesel North America, Poletto helped develop Diesel’s new market strategy. He has over 30 years of luxury and retail experience, during which he has held various senior management positions. Among other things, Poletto was Managing Director of the shoe label Stuart Weitzmann and CEO of Salvatore Ferragamo and Furla, where he was responsible for the global development of the brands.
Donald Kohler will succeed Poletto in his role as CEO for Diesel North America. Kohler previously held key positions at Burberry, Ferragamo and the Ann Taylor Group.
