In the 4th week match of FIBA Men’s European Cup Group D, Bahçeşehir College Men’s Basketball Team defeated the Czech Republic’s ERA Nymburg team 96-91 at the end of overtime, after the match ended in a tie of 80-80 in normal time.
Completing the first quarter of the match played at the CEZ Sports Hall in Nymburg with a 25-18 lead, Bahçeşehir College entered the halftime with a 50-42 lead.
Bahçeşehir College, which maintained its score difference in the third period and gained a 68-58 score advantage, was ineffective in attack in the last part of the game. The home team narrowed the gap and took the match to overtime with a score of 80-80.
Bahçeşehir College, which made fewer mistakes than its opponent in this part of the game, left the field victorious 96-91.
Axel Bouteille played the leading role in the victory for Bahçeşehir College with 25 points and 5 rebounds, and Tyler Cavanaugh with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Following this result, Bahçeşehir College achieved its 3rd victory in its group, while ERA Nymburg suffered its first defeat.
Bahçeşehir College will host Azerbaijani team Sabah BC on Wednesday, November 15, in the fifth match of the group.
