NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – The US stock markets went into the last trading day of the week with price gains. Statements by Russian President Vladimir Putin about the talks with Ukraine provided some tailwind on the stock exchanges on Friday. However, many market participants remain skeptical about the negotiations between the two wartime opponents.
The Dow Jones Industrial (Dow Jones 30 Industrial) rose 1.00 percent to 33,505 points in early trade. On a weekly basis, a minus of one third percent is emerging.
