Equities New York Conclusion: Dow stops losing streak – but nervousness remains high

NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – The US leading index Dow Jones Industrial (Dow Jones 30 Industrial) ended a four-day losing streak on Thursday and closed moderately in the black. Stockbrokers spoke of a small countermovement after the recent price slide. The nervousness on the stock market is still high. Since Fed Chair Jerome Powell on Friday, markets have continued to be tight monetary policy the Fed has joined in the fight against inflation, recession worries have the upper hand. However, persistently high price increases are even more damaging to the economy.
