Lord of the Rings – Due to all the corona restrictions, it happened eight months after his last competition as a top gymnast, but that didn’t spoil the fun. Epke Zonderland, the golden Olympian of 2012, received a private tribute on Thursday and in the meantime opened a new hall for top gymnasts. ,,He has put gymnastics for boys on the map and also made it a bit tougher”, says Marieke van der Plas, director of gymnastics association KNGU.
