Episode Investigation Requested about death Jihad Jafo yields 24 tips

The episode of the crime program Opsporing Verzocht, in which the death of Jahid Jafo from Enschede was discussed yesterday, yielded 24 tips. That is what the East Netherlands police say.

Jafo, 32, has been missing since December 6 last year. His body was found wrapped in plastic last May in the Almelo-De Haandrik canal in Overijssel. He appeared to have been killed by a crime. The body was wrapped in garbage bags, tied together with tape and decorative cord.

Last week, the police in Hoogeveen searched a supermarket specializing in Asian products in the De Weide shopping center. A house in Hoogeveen was also searched, as was a house in Den Ham in Overijssel. The last telephone signal from Jafo was also received in that place. It is not known exactly what items the police took.

According to the police, several people may have been involved in leaving Jafo’s body behind. The package he was dumped in was weighted down with a 17-pound tripod. The transport can therefore almost not have been done by one person.
