After research in 2021 and 2022, the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) already determined that the sea foam contained 2,400,000 nanograms of PFAS, although the health-based recommended value is 4.4 nanograms.
That report led to advice from the Flemish Government to rinse thoroughly after bathing, especially for children.
