Entry of Sinterklaas 2022: This is the program

On Saturday 12 November, Sinterklaas will arrive in the Netherlands by parcel boat. His visit to Zoetermeer is planned for Saturday 19 November. View the program of the Sinterklaas entry 2022 at nearby.

During the entry you can not only meet Sinterklaas and his helpers, but also experience the history of our city during an atmospheric route à la the Fairytale Forest in the Efteling.

Entry into the center

Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., the arrival of Sinterklaas and his helpers takes place in the center of our city. On his white gray ‘O zo Snel’, the Goedheiligman rides through the Zoetermeerse Dorpsstraat via the Nicolaasplein and the Nicolaaskerk and children can participate in a treasure hunt. The golden horseshoe is hidden and they can search for letters in the shop windows.

Speculaas, spice nuts and chocolate letters

Along the historic buildings, Pieten hand out kruidnoten and actors play old Dutch games such as sack races. At the old bakery of MCJ Pieterse, or ‘t Vergulden Speculaasje, speculaas bake according to traditional Zoetermeer recipe. In the chocolate shop of Choco Toko, Piets are busy with chocolate letters. Children can feed Sinterklaas’s horse carrots and you can take photos on the catering square.

Sinterklaas house

Sinterklaas and his helpers will temporarily live in the Sinterklaas house at Dorpsstraat 175. Children and parents can come by on November 30, December 3 and December 5 between 12:00 and 15:00.
