Entrepreneurs will have 2 weeks longer to apply for the Fixed Charges Allowance (TVL) for the 4th quarter of 2021. The ticket office will close at 5 p.m. on 11 February 2022. The reason for this longer opening is the approval of the European Commission for the one-off reduction of the turnover loss threshold from 30% to 20%. This adaptation of the TVL was published today in the Government Gazette.
For the 4th quarter of 2021, the government has lowered the turnover loss threshold once from 30% to 20%. To be eligible for TVL Q4 2021, a company must have at least a 20% loss of turnover, compared to the reference period. For this, an entrepreneur can choose between the 4th quarter of 2019 or the 1st quarter of 2020.
Due to the uncertainty about the new virus variant, the cabinet announced a lockdown on Saturday 18 December 2021. This lockdown went into effect on Sunday 19 December 2021. Due to the short time between the announcement and the introduction of the lockdown, entrepreneurs had little chance to adjust their business operations in time. That is why the cabinet expanded the economic support package for the 4th quarter of 2021 on 21 December 2021 to offer workers and entrepreneurs extra support. Entrepreneurs now have an extra 2 weeks to apply for the TVL subsidy. In this way, the scheme is open for 8 weeks, as was the case with previous openings.
