The Teatrix platformwhich allows you to see plays online, through devices connected to the internet, celebrates its first nine years with the incorporation of new records recorded exclusively for its users. It is a wide collection, in HD, with more than three hundred titles of different genres, covering both national and foreign proposals and including some historical ones such as the classic “King Lear” with the remembered Alfredo AlconThe ninth” starring the legendary Pepe Sorianoeither “Like 3000 years ago”, the show in which that enormous actor who is Hector Alterio He gave voice to the poetry of León Felipe.
Its catalog, constantly growing, also includes musicals such as “The Wind in the Willows” recorded at the London Palladium and opera titles that were offered at the Teatro Real in Madrid, such as the staging of “Turandot”, by Puccini, “Parsifal ”, by Wagner, “La Traviata”, by Verdi or the suggestive “Bomarzo”, with text by Manuel Mujica Láinez and music by Alberto Ginastera. The latter, originally premiered in Washington and banned in Argentina by General Juan Carlos Onganía, could only be enjoyed at the Teatro Colón in the 1972 season.
Added to this are offers from other countries such as the interesting “Meat”, coming from Mexico. The contemporary piece, written by Reynolds Robledo and directed by Enrique Singer, It reveals what happens in the privacy of a kitchen while, in another area, a party takes place. There, the secrets of the past, which nest within an apparently stable and well-established family, expose what its protagonists have insisted on hiding and keeping silent.
The plot takes place at the Arango ranch, where Román, in order to entertain his wife, a retired actress, organizes a celebration in which fate will come together. As if it were a Greek tragedy, the fateful happens off-stage and what we see on stage is how these events impact the passions that dominate and destroy everything in their path. With very good performances by Nailea Norvind, Hernán Mendoza, Jesusa Ochoa and Adrián Ladrón, the director’s dexterous hand, builds a complex and intense universe of emotions that does not leave the viewer indifferent.
While it is true that nothing replaces the live theatrical phenomenon, this is an excellent opportunity to get closer to aesthetics and idiosyncrasies that, due to geographical distances, may be almost inaccessible to us. More information in www.teatrix.com.
