The first concert, a performance of Ensor’s suite La Gamme d’Amour, took place in the Kursaal of Ostend on Saturday. The collection of concerts was named Ensor & Friends. Ensor dreamed of a career in music, but ultimately achieved success as a painter. All sides of the figure are included in more than 100 activities of the city festival for the Ensor year.
