The convocation of a joint press conference of the councilors of the Presidency, Finance and Health; Henry Lopez, Javier Fernandez-Lasquetty and Enrique Ruiz-Escuderoto explain in detail the contract of the Community of Madrid that involves the brother of Isabel Diaz Ayuso and that it has unleashed the total war within the PP made us think that the Madrid government had no fissures. It was a closing of ranks around the president, publicly confronted with Pablo Casado. But the absence of López, confirmed minutes before the appearance began, visualizes a crack.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice and the Interior denied that López was deleting himself from the press conference, since he had scheduled a meeting with the president of the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid for this noon, and “that several times”. That meeting did not appear, however, on the regional government’s agenda for today, where a meeting was scheduled at 9:30 with the local Security Board of the Madrid City Council.

The point is that Enrique López is the bridge between Sol and Genoa. In addition to being the person in charge of Justice in the national leadership of the party and of the total confidence of Casado (he signed him for the PP) he ended up being a counselor in the first coalition government chaired by Ayuso hand in hand with Genoa. Little by little he became part of Ayuso’s nucleus of trust and, in fact, since 4-M he agreed to the Ministry of the Presidency.
It is, de facto, the number two of the Government. The point is that he has always been in the middle of both sides and with his absence at today’s press conference, a show of support for Genoa is perceived. Or at least, has decided to avoid public support for the president.
