As the second division soccer club announced on Wednesday, the 34-year-old, who was born in Nuremberg, had extended his contract “at reduced salaries”. After his active career, he should switch to another position in the club.
Defender Jannik Hofmann from the U23s also signed a long-term professional contract, according to the announcement.
