A 61-year-old man from Enkhuizen was stabbed in several places last night, after he wanted to stop a man from stealing a bicycle. The victim suffered injuries to his face, arm and leg. The perpetrator ran off.
The victim from Enkhuizen tried to stop a man who was stealing a bicycle at De Kloet around 2.30 am. After addressing the suspect about his behavior, the man drew a weapon and attacked the Enkhuizer. He suffered several cuts in the process.
The Enkhuizer tried to defend himself and hit the suspect in the face with his fist. But the suspect managed to escape and fled in an unknown direction.
The police searched for the suspect, but to no avail. The victim was treated for his stab wounds at the GP station.

That is why they have placed a call for witnesses who may have seen something last night.
The police are still looking for the suspect. He has a light complexion, wore a dark gray hooded sweater and black sweatpants. The man is about 30 years old and about 1.75 meters tall. The punch may have injured his face, police said.
The police hopes that witnesses will come forward and are also looking for camera images from the area that can give an idea of where the suspect has fled.
