England footballer Mason Greenwood has been in custody since Monday.
A court in Manchester decided that the 21-year-old would no longer be granted bail for violating his conditions.
Greenwood is charged with attempted rape, intentional assault and coercion.
He was first arrested in January on serious allegations of violence and abuse and death threats against his then-girlfriend.
Now he will remain in custody until his next court date on November 21.
Manchester United have given the striker a permanent leave of absence from training and matches.
