The English Football Association (The FA) will send a letter to clubs to prevent football players from using the phrase “river to sea” on their social media accounts.
The Federation’s recommendation to the clubs came after Leicester City football player Hamza Choudhury used the phrase “from the river to the sea” in his post, which he later deleted.
In the statement made by the federation sources in the press, “After a careful evaluation, we will send a letter to all clubs to state that this expression is offensive to many people and should not be used by football players in social media posts.” It was said.
