Are gas, oil and electricity enough for the winter? Yes, said Brandenburg’s Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke (61, SPD) after the 2nd Energy Summit in the State Chancellery.

“The situation appears manageable for the coming months,” said Woidke after the meeting with the bosses of the energy suppliers. The reason: mild weather, full gas storage tanks, new supply routes – and people using gas much more sparingly.

“The prerequisite for security of supply is that savings are made at the same level over the next few months,” warned Economics Minister Jörg Steinbach (66, SPD).

The supply of petrol, heating oil and kerosene is secured even after the import stop for Russian oil. Steinbach: “But there is a gap with diesel.”

Plain text: If Poland does not pump crude oil to the PCK refinery, diesel could soon become scarce and expensive! The minister is pissed off at excessive deduction demands, “which can in no way be calculated using the gas and electricity price brake”.

His advice: “Go to the consumer advice center immediately!” Then the suppliers would improve the notices.
