The federal regulation works on a publishing of the energy factuur. Minister of Finance Vincent Van Peteghem (CD&V) is in charge of a ‘slimme btw-verlaging’. Hij wil vanaf 1 februari de btw op energie verlagen to 6 percent. Dit moet huishoudens financiële ademruimte geven. Vanaf 1 juli zou de btw-verlaging dan ‘slim’ been compensated via de accijnzen.
Maar de energieleveranciers waarschuwen de federale regering that het practically onhaalbaar is om al vanaf 1 februari (next week dinsdag) een btw-verlaging op energie te verrekenen.
“We have understood for the nodes of the clants that there is no room here for a number of times that have been agreed,” says Marc Van den Bosch, director of the Koepelorganisatie Febeg. Energy leveragers would like to make an adjustment. Aan hun software, Tarieven, Kortingen (which met btw verrekend zijn), enzovoort. “Voor leveranciers gaat het om a big change. In the meantime there will be a consensus about a publishing of the energy fact. Most of the parties won for a small amount of BTW publishing, since Open Vld has a real impact on the budget. De begroting kleurt al rood. The Cabinet of Ministers Van Peteghem complains that the publishing house is up to 86 million euros per month and costs aan de Schatkist.
Febeg knows that there are still other problems. In Belgium vandaag bijna 1 miljoen huishoudens van een uitgebreid socialal tarief. Zowat de helft van die huishoudens goes to 31 maart uit dit verlaagd tariff te vallen. Energieleveranciers zijn wettelijk om klanten here twee maanden op voorhand over te whitening. For January 31st – next month. Dat terwijl de kans groot is dat de regering het uitgebreid social tariff eerstdaags verlengt.
