In the final of the Brandenburger Fußball-Landespokal, the third-placed team in the Northeast Regional League defeated Oberliga side VfB Krieschow 2-0 (0-0) in front of 2,832 spectators today. Tobias Hasse in the 76th minute and Nikos Zografakis (90+2) scored for the favorite in the hard-fought game. It is the tenth win of the state cup for Energie Cottbus. With this triumph, the Lausitzer draw level with the previous record winner SV Babelsberg. Most recently, FC Energie Cottbus secured the pot in 2019.
