End-of-year fireworks in Ostend cancelled

This year, the city of Ostend opted for low-noise end-of-year fireworks on the Groot Strand, but decided on Saturday morning to cancel the fireworks. The quality of the show was compromised by the predicted wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour and the chance of precipitation. “This is not an ideal scenario for launching a safe end-of-year fireworks,” it sounds. During the end-of-year period, it is forbidden in Ostend to set off fireworks yourself.
