Samuel Chapple has successfully operated on his broken ankle. The athlete from Castricum sustained the fracture last week during an 800 meters in Lokeren, Belgium.
Chapple had started the outdoor season strong with a new club record for Team Distance Runners on the English mile. A week later disaster struck in Belgium. During the 800 meters, the 23-year-old athlete broke his ankle and tore his ankle ligaments. Chapple has now announced via his Instagram page that the operation went well.
