“End my career at Eintracht Frankfurt”

Defense boss Martin Hinteregger has denied the rumors of a change of club. The Eintracht star wants to stay with Hessen – until he ends his career. Discussions with the sports director are to follow.

Martin Hinteregger wants to end his career with Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt. “The transfer rumors are nonsense. I’m not switching to Hertha Berlin either, as rumored,” said the central defender on Saturday of the Austrian “Kronen-Zeitung” on the sidelines of his Hinti Cup in Sirnitz. “I will definitely end my professional career at Eintracht Frankfurt!”

His contract with the Hessian Bundesliga team runs until June 30, 2024. And after that? “I would only storm Sirnitz in the lower league for my SGA,” said the defender, who had started playing football in Sirnitz. In the coming week there will be talks with Frankfurt’s sports director Markus Krösche.

Hinteregger recently said that the signs for him in Frankfurt had been separation several times. “A lot has fallen apart this year. I was told in late autumn and between the quarter-finals against Barcelona that I should leave in the summer,” said the 29-year-old.
