Emre Sarpdağ (18) from Vlaardingen had to pay with his life for his attempt to rob a 19-year-old fellow citizen of his watch. The intended victim took the knife from Sarpdağ and stabbed his assailant to death with it. Sarpdağ did not act alone, according to the Public Prosecution Service. He is said to have engaged ‘decoys’ to take his target to the scene of the disaster.
