Sparkasse at Alexanderplatz
A bank employee (52) on Alexanderplatz reacted very coolly to a bank robber: she just left him there!
The man (23) entered a Sparkasse branch on Alexanderplatz in Mitte around 5 p.m. on Thursday. He went to a cash register counter and asked the clerk for money.
But she didn’t see that at all, pressed the alarm button and went into a back room.
Shortly thereafter, the crews of several patrol cars from Police Section 57 appeared, overpowered and arrested the would-be robber despite resistance.
