Employee Sarah Schlitz (Ecolo) links “extreme right” N-VA with Nazis: “With her dismissal they want to divert attention from part of history” | Interior

Normally, Sander Loones (N-VA) would question Schlitz in committee on Wednesday, but his questions were declared inadmissible by the House: he already has an interpellation on the same subject. But now that a Schlitz employee compared N-VA to Nazis on her personal profile, N-VA says it has enough material for new questions, which can be dealt with on Wednesday.

To be clear: the employee shared an existing Instagram Story, in which Schlitz was defended. Reference is made to an exhibition in Kazerne Dossin, which had used Schlitz’s logo. It says that by demanding Schlitz’s resignation, N-VA is trying to divert attention from part of history. Next to it is a photo of with a placard that reads “Vote Hitler”.

Schlitz’s employee admitted to ‘De Standaard’ that she had shared the images in question on her personal profile. In the meantime, they are eagerly shared by N-VA. But the coalition partners are also frowning. “This is really not smart,” says various parties. “They’d better keep their heads down on social media this week.”
