Ex-formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher said goodbye to his former team boss after Eddie Jordan’s death.

After Eddie Jordan’s death, the former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher turned to his former team boss with a personal message.

“I can hardly believe that you have lost the fight against the disease. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to start my Formula 1 career in your team,” Schumacher wrote about a photo and a video clip on Instagram. “I will always be grateful for that.”

Like his brother Michael Schumacher, Ralf Schumacher received the chance at Jordan to make his debut in Formula 1. The six-time Grand Prix winner drove for the Irish team in 1997 and 1998.

Schumacher also addressed moving words to Jordan’s family: “I wish the entire family a lot of strength in these hours. I, my dear friend, I already miss.

Eddie Jordan had succumbed to cancer on Thursday at the age of 76, as his family announced “in deep grief”.

Ex-world champion Damon Hill, who also drove for the team, also praised the Irish and said: “There will never be one like Eddie Jordan again. He didn’t wage a second of his life.”
