The Emmy Awards Ceremony will take place on September 18, 2023 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The nominations for the coveted television awards were announced July 12 by Television Academy President Frank Scherma and actress Yvette Nicole Brown.
In this year’s nominations, series produced by the US pay-TV channel “HBO” lead the way. Among the jury’s favorites is the drama series “Succession” with a total of 27 nominations. The fourth and final season of the series about a disputed media dynasty was listed in the category “Best Drama Series”. On the other hand in the categories “Best Actor”, in which Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong can hope for the prize. Furthermore, Sarah Snook is nominated for “Best Actress” and Nicolas Braun, Matthew Macfayden, Alan Ruck and Alexander Skarsgård for “Best Supporting Actor”. The nominations for Best Supporting Actress go to J. Smith-Cameron.

More than 20 nominations also for “Ted Lasso”, “The White Lotus” and “The Last of Us”
The “HBO” video game adaptation “The Last of Us” has a total of 24 nominations, while the social satire “The White Lotus” produced by the same station has 23 nominations in its second season. The new season of the comedy series “Ted Lasso” received 21 nominations from Apple TV+.
“Succession”, “Ted Lasso” and “The White Lotus” had already won many of the most coveted television awards in the world in the past year with their previous seasons.
