Ice hockey player Mikael Granlund and his wife Emmi Granlund took part in a fun wedding in Sweden over the weekend. It was a Swedish NHL player Mattias Ekholmin wedding. Ekholm plays for the Nashville Predators.
Ekholm married a Swedish presenter-journalist Ida Björnstadin with already two years ago, but the couple’s wedding was moved to this summer due to the corona pandemic.
Björnstad thanked the guests who attended the wedding on Instagram, feeling moved.
– Words cannot even describe how grateful we are for the people we have in our lives. I am so happy that we stuck to our dream of renewing the lights and we celebrate love with those who walk with us through life, Björnstad writes.
Emmi’s Instagram post shows that she had chosen a long brown dress with a v-neckline and spaghetti straps for the wedding. Emmi had brown sandal heels on her feet and a bright green bag in her hand.
Other Finnish stars who participated in the wedding included, among others Pekka RinneJuuse Saros and Eeli Tolvanen.
The Granlunds got married in 2019. They have two children together.
