The municipality of Emmen is investigating the possibility of an industrial estate for large establishments. That says alderman Jisse Otter in an interview with online trade magazine Stadszaken. According to him, it concerns a new location for companies with a size of 30 hectares or more.
There are not many places in the Netherlands where such companies can go, but Emmen has the space for it, according to the alderman.
The plan is far from finished. Otter expects to be at least a year and a half further before concrete steps can be taken.
