Emma Wortelboer has spoiled it with the media editors of the AD. According to Marcus den Blanken, TV talent is mainly out for attention and as a media journalist he does not want to facilitate that.
There are media personalities who are about the same lovers if haters have, but with Emma Wortelboer the latter group in particular seems to be over-represented. The presenter is definitely not a crowd favorite and many people still associate her with her hysterical screaming performance during the Eurovision Song Contest.
Shut up
Emma sat at the table last week in the talk show Marcel & Gijs and made a quite provocative statement about Groningen. According to her, that is a ‘c*t province’. It led to the anger of, among others, the well-known cycling analyst Gert Jakobs, who considers her a ‘loser’.
The most important newspaper in the Netherlands in terms of media, the AD, is also well done with Emma. “I want to talk about it one more time and then I want to shut her up forever,” media journalist Marcus den Blanken tells his colleagues in the AD Media podcast.
Kind of Brit
Marcus just doesn’t like Emma. “Emma Wortelboer is becoming a kind of Britt Dekker. She just does things like this for effect. She just wants people to talk about her, to become a trending topic on Twitter and to get attention, because that’s what she lives on.”
Podcast presenter Manuel Venderbos: “So you just shouldn’t talk about it anymore.”
Last time
Marcus: “No, that’s why I say: ‘This is the last time we discuss Emma Wortelboer.’ This is the conclusion once: Emma Wortelboer wants attention, she no longer gets it.”
Manuel concludes with a joke about Emma: “If you are in The Hague and you have a very bad stomach flu at night, you can put this Emma next to your bed: a puke Emma.”
