Emma Meesseman is the first finalist of Euroleague basket with Fenerbahçe

Fenerbahçe faced a small deficit of 36-40 at the break. But the team corrected the lopsided situation in the third quarter by a score of 25-14. They never relinquished the lead after that.

Thirteen points for Meesseman

Meesseman was good for thirteen points, eight rebounds and five assists in 37 minutes of playing time in the Kralovka Arena. Her teammate Breanna Stewart was the top scorer of the game with 24 points. Mestdagh played more than ten minutes with Schio and scored five points and one rebound.

Fifth Euroleague trophy?

On Sunday, Fenerbahçe will face local USK Prague or another Turkish team, Cukurova Mersin, in the final. The 29-year-old Meesseman can then win her fifth Euroleague trophy. With this she can break the Belgian record of Ann Wauters, she counts four. The West Flemish player previously won the prestigious tournament in 2016, 2018 (as the best player), 2019 and 2021, always with the Russian Jekaterinburg.
