Rapper Eminem aka Slim Shady has made an unexpected announcement: he is planning to release a new greatest hits collection entitled CURTAIN CALL 2 – his first since 2005.
The new collection is scheduled for release on August 5th. Alongside his new single “From the D 2 the LBC” featuring Snoop Dogg, it also includes songs from his releases since 2009’s RELAPSE album. It also includes tracks featuring his guest appearances, tracks from side projects and a previously unreleased song – the title is set to be revealed in the coming weeks. The Elvis soundtrack The King and I, which Eminem co-produced with CeeLo Green, will also be part of the new collection.
CURTAIN CALL 2 is the first greatest hits collection since the 2005 hip hop album CURTAIN CALL: THE HITS. The album topped the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart for a full decade. CURTAIN CALL 2 will be available as a standard release through Shady Records/Aftermath Entertainment/Interscope Records and as a limited edition box set through Eminem’s official online store.
