THEThe journey of Pio and Amedeo in the role of the two freeloaders in search of victims to be plucked continues. The second episode of Emigratis – The surrender of the accounts will air this evening at 21.45 on Channel 5. After last week’s stay in Dubai, we now move to France and the UK.
Emigratisthe guests of the second episode
For this second date, D’Antini and Grieco will reach Paris and London. In the French and English capitals, they will hunt for famous people who can help them carry out their mission. In this edition it consists of the promotion of an eco-sustainability project and to make it happen they will ask for funds from the unfortunate ones on duty.
Unfortunates who belong to the world of entertainment and sport, now aware that the meeting with the duo will not end well and will be forced to put their hand to their wallets. Among the sports protagonists of the episode broadcast tonight are Antonio Conte, Gigi Donnarumma, Pierluigi Gollini Dejan Kulisevsku and Maxi Lopez.
To these are added the singers Sfera Ebbasta and Fausto Leali, Salt Bea alias Nusret the “salt chef” e Giovanni Pernice. The latter works in English TV in the program Strictly like dancingformat on which our local version is based dancing with the Stars. Born in 1990, she won the BAFTA Television Award paired with Rose Ayling-Ellis, her travel companion in the last edition of the program.

The ratings and criticisms
The debut of a program goes hand in hand with the results in numerical terms. The morning after the broadcast, at 10 am, the Auditel communicates the verdict of the public, sovereign judge. The first episode of Emigratis – The showdown totaled 2,547,000 viewers, equal to 16.94% share.
Although at first glance it may seem a not excellent result, it is numbers in line with network ratings. Just think that the episode of the Big brother vip broadcast on Thursday 29 September, it totaled 2,495,000 spectators (19.48%). Despite the passage on Channel 5 confirm the success of the Foggia couple, there is no lack of criticism.
On social media, particularly on Twitter, it is teeming with judgments, sometimes vitriolic, against the protagonists of the program, but above all with the chosen cut. Always, Pio and Amedeo are incorrect, over the top, beyond any label. On the contrary, they have made excess and irreverence the key to their success.
However, part of the audience accuses them of being anachronistic. The language and tone with which they communicate messages are anchored in the past. Legacy of an outdated television, mirror of the years in which the politically correct had not yet entered either on the small screen or elsewhere. It must be said that the two have always remained true to themselves. And even when they are overwhelmed by layers criticisms on the occasion of Happy evening, they did not step back a millimeter, strong in their idea. That is to say, the possibility of saying what you want, without running into hypocritical reprimands, since “it is not the words, but the intention”.

A long-standing friendship
Pio D’Antini and Fabio Grieco are linked by a friendship born in the cradle. The respective mothers, in fact, were roommates in the hospital, waiting for the birth. A curious circumstance, almost a premonitory sign of what would have been. They grow up in Foggiatogether, in the same neighborhood, and together they make their first experiences on local TV.
They do the mess up Telenorbaand then landed in 2011 in Rai 2 and the following year in Italia 1. It is the beginning of the association with Hyenas, which gives them popularity thanks to the choirs of the “Ultras dei vip”. In 2014 it was the turn of the film Friends like usfollowed in 2016 by Emigratis, the program that consecrates them. In addition to a participation in the Sanremo Festival 2019 and various hosted ad Friends of Maria De Filippi, in 2022 they returned to the cinema with the film Hello beautifuldirected by Gennaro Nunziante, former director of some of the great hits of Checco Zalone.
Delighted Tour 2023the stages and the new dates
The return to tv of Emigratis has disrupted the plans of Pio and Amedeo, forced to postpone your own theatrical performance, whose departure was scheduled for October 9 from the Europauditorium in Bologna. Due to television commitments, the tour is postponed to autumn 2023. We will start with Rome, 1 and 2 Octoberat the Brancaccio Theater, and then continue to Naples, Catania, BariCatanzaro, Montecatini, Florence, Milan, Bologna and Padua. Last stop on November 12 in Turin. On the 1st and 2nd December, however, the two Swiss datesrespectively Basel and Locarno.
