Emerson is moving from Chelsea to West Ham United

West Ham United have signed Italian international Emerson from league rivals Chelsea. The 28-year-old left-back has signed a contract with the Hammers that runs until the summer of 2026 with an option for a further year.

The transfer fee is reportedly £13m plus bonuses of £2m. Emerson moved from AS Roma to London in 2018 for 20 million euros and was temporarily loaned to France at Olympique Lyon last season. The left-footed player made 71 appearances (2 goals) for Chelsea and won the Champions League, Europa League and UEFA Super Cup with the Blues during his four-year tenure at Stamford Bridge. Emerson made 27 appearances for Italy and won the European title last summer.
