It has been overcrowded in Ter Apel for months. In the past week, hundreds of people often slept outside, because there was not enough space in reception locations. Last Friday, the cabinet announced measures, such as money and support, to improve reception. On Sunday, almost five hundred shelters were found. Since then, a lot less people are sleeping outside.
