The strike by hospital workers will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, and will last for 24 hours. This is reported by the trade union FNV.
At 64 locations of different hospitals, work is done on that day as if it were a Sunday, which means that in principle only emergency care will continue. The number of departments participating in the campaign differs per hospital, says the FNV.
The strike had been announced earlier, but the date was not yet known. The employees demand a better collective labor agreement proposal from the hospitals.
