A week and a half before the European Championship, the German basketball players ended their series of defeats and gained self-confidence. In Israel there was a clear success.
The team of national coach Lisa Thomaidis prevailed on Monday evening in Tel Aviv with 78:63 (44:23) against hosts Israel and thus also corrected the 69:73 defeat from the previous evening, when the game was also played in Tel Aviv. Previously there had been two defeats at the four-nation tournament in Turkey. Next Sunday there will be a final test against Italy in Pordenone.
Germany at the EM clear outsider
Germany already had a big lead in the first half and the victory was no longer in danger in the almost empty hall. The EM in Slovenia and Israel starts on June 15th. Germany meets France, Slovenia and Great Britain in the preliminary round in Ljubljana. The German women are back at a European Championship for the first time in twelve years and are considered clear outsiders.
