Norway’s footballers took the lead in Group A at the European Championships in England. A day after the host team’s 1-0 win against Austria in the opening game, the Norwegians easily won 4-1 (3-0) against Northern Ireland.
The goals were scored by Julie Blakstad (10th), Frida Maanum (13th), Caroline Hansen (31st) and Guro Reit (54th). Julie Nelson scored for the outsider (49th).
