EM in England | For football fans: Women’s European Championship on TV and stream

Success makes it possible: since the 2015 World Cup, the public TV broadcasters have been broadcasting all of the soccer players’ games live at the World Cup or European Championship. Because at the big tournaments, the DFB kickers in particular attract several million people in front of the screen and ensure top ratings.

Where can the EM games be seen?

ARD and ZDF bought the TV rights for the tournament from UEFA and will broadcast all 31 games. Most of the games are shown by public broadcasters on traditional television. Ten games will be streamed online.

The opening match between England and Austria on Wednesday in Manchester will be shown on ARD, which will also broadcast the final on July 31 at London’s Wembley Stadium. The fee-based Internet sports broadcaster DAZN also shows the games.

The first and second alternate in the preliminary round games of the DFB selection. ZDF shows the start on Friday (9 p.m.) against Denmark. The game against Spain on July 12 (9 p.m.) is on ARD and the group final against Finland on July 16 (9 p.m.) is again on the second.

The games of the KO round will only be divided between ARD and ZDF after the preliminary round. The first and the second broadcast two quarter-final games and one semi-final each.

Christina Graf is making her tournament debut as a football reporter for ARD at the European Championships. The 36-year-old sports journalist is used in England as a commentator for Stephanie Baczyk, who is pregnant according to ARD information.
