When the preliminary round groups for the 2024 European Football Championship are drawn this evening in Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, you’ll be right in the middle of it all in the LIVE stream on sport.de. Who will the German national soccer team draw? Who do France, England and Co. have to compete against?

Star violinist David Garrett and Munich tenor Jonas Kaufmann will appear in the impressive Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg as part of the supporting program. They are accompanied by the Federal Youth Orchestra, the Federal Jazz Orchestra and the Federal Youth Choir. The lottery procedure begins at 6 p.m.
Who draws the corresponding balls is still a well-kept secret. All that is known is that, according to UEFA, eleven former European champions will be on stage.

The DFB team is placed in Pot 1 as hosts and is the head of Group A. The seeding list is based on the UEFA rankings after the European Championship qualification.

It is possible that Germany will find itself in a group with Austria, the Netherlands and defending champion Italy after the draw on Saturday evening. If the DFB team, which has wavered recently, is lucky, they could also face Albania, Slovakia and Luxembourg.
When will all participants in the 2024 European Championship really be determined?
The three playoff tournaments will take place at the end of March 2024. All matches are decided in one game. The six semi-finals will take place on March 21st and the three finals will take place on March 26th, 2024.
