National striker Lea Schüller tested positive for the corona virus before the second European Championship group game of the German soccer players against Spain on Tuesday (9 p.m. / ARD and DAZN).

According to the DFB announcement on Monday afternoon, the attacker from Bayern Munich only feels mild symptoms, the 24-year-old was immediately isolated at the team hotel in London-Brentford.

A return to the current tournament will be decided “depending on the course of events, in accordance with the medical requirements and in close consultation with UEFA,” the DFB explained.

Schüller was a striker in the 4-0 (1-0) opening win against Denmark last Friday and scored a goal before she was substituted for captain Alexandra Popp (VfL Wolfsburg).
