Bouke says he is always busy with the next step. Not only will he soon be in the Ziggo Dome, he can also be seen at various festivals. “Including the Hello Festival, in my own Emmen”, he already looks ahead. “When I participated in the program, my hope was that I would be in more theaters with the occasional festival with the band. Completely unexpected, it ended up being crazy.”
The singer expects a large audience from Drenthe in the Ziggo Dome. “I want to promote Emmen, but of course also the province of Drenthe as a whole. I was born in Drenthe and I think that people elsewhere should sometimes see what the artists have achieved here, such as Harry Muskee, Henk Wijngaard and Jannes.”
Bouke sends a special word of thanks to another fellow provincial: Johan Derksen from Grolloo. On the TV show Inside today Derksen praised the qualities of the Emmenaar. “I am very happy with his support,” says Bouke. “It means a lot to me when a man like that, with an enormous knowledge of blues and country, says good things about me.”
Bouke will also perform tonight Inside today. “And there I’m going to make a beautiful reveal.”
