Shortly after the finale of his farewell tour, Elton John gave a testimony via video message intended to exonerate actor Kevin Spacey, who is on trial in London. John was summoned by the defense to give his testimony on Monday (July 17).
Spacey is accused by four men of 12 counts of sexual abuse. In June 2023, a criminal case against the actor began at Southwark Crown Court in London. One of his alleged victims accused him of aggressively grabbing his crotch while driving to Elton John’s annual White Tie and Tiara Ball, a charity event in 2004 or 2005, to benefit AIDS. Spacey denies these allegations.
Now, Elton John has testified that while the actor attended his charity ball in 2001, he could not find any evidence that he attended any other year. John’s husband and manager David Furnish confirmed that he could not find any pictures of Kevin Spacey among the photos from the 2004 and 2005 balls.
