A proposed resolution by independent MP Els Ampe asking for a ban on preventive censorship by Flemish representatives was voted down en masse in the Flemish Parliament on Wednesday. This happened after a striking demarche by Parliament Speaker Liesbeth Homans. She was briefly replaced in the chair to criticize Ampe’s proposal from the parliament benches.
