The Hamburg Elbphilharmonie is once again the backdrop for filming. This time she could be the target of an attack and that is why the LKA is investigating. Jürgen Vogel takes on the leading role in the six-part series for the first. Model is a British series.

A possible attack on Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie is the focus of a new thriller series starring Jürgen Vogel, which is currently being filmed in the Hanseatic city. Filming will continue until the end of October in and around Hamburg, as the North German Broadcasting Corporation (NDR) announced on Thursday. The focus of the six-part miniseries with the working title “Informant” is on the LKA investigator Gabriel Bach, played by Vogel, the ambitious BKA police officer Holly Valentin (Elisa Schlott) and the 22-year-old Afghan Raziq “Raza” Shaheen (Ivar Wafaei).

The NDR describes the content as follows: “Indications of an impending attack on the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie put the police authorities on alert and, in the sense of a self-fulfilling prophecy, trigger a chain of events that make the attack possible in the first place.” LKA man Gabriel tries Maintaining contact with whistleblowers in the Arab community. But because he once undercoverly investigated the right-wing scene, his bosses have little trust.

When one of the informants is suddenly found dead, young Raza is recruited as an informant, even though he has nothing to do with terrorism, IS or organized crime. But he quickly takes a liking to the opaque game in which he suddenly pulls the strings himself.

The series with its 45-minute parts revolves around what scares people and which spirals can be set in motion as a result. What follows is a whirlwind of fear, prejudice and hysteria.

Written and directed by Matthias Glasner (“KDD-Kriminaldauerdienst”, “Das Boot”). It is an adaptation of the BBC series Informer. The thriller series, in which Gabriela Maria Schmeide, Bayan Layla and Claudia Michelsen also play, is expected to be shown in the ARD media library and in the first in autumn 2024.
