Elon Musk visits Israel: about anti-Semitism, artificial intelligence and Starlink | Abroad

Businessman and richest person in the world Elon Musk is currently visiting Israel. In the meantime, he visited a settlement that was brutally attacked by Hamas on October 7. He visited the kibbutz Kfar Aza with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli media reported. Later, Musk will have important conversations with the Israeli president.

Video footage shows Musk and Netanyahu appearing to wear bulletproof vests during the visit. According to news site ‘The Times of Israel’, Musk was briefed by a local leader and a spokesperson for the armed forces. The billionaire was also shown damaged homes and leftover ammunition.

Anti-Semitism

Musk will also meet with Israeli President Isaac Herzog later. He has already made it clear that he mainly wants to talk about “action against increasing anti-Semitism on the internet”. Musk and his messaging service X have been under fire for some time because not enough is being done about such messages.


Musk is also under fire personally. The entrepreneur responded on November 15 to a post on Musk called that theory, according to which Jews and progressives want to replace white people with non-white immigrants, “the actual truth” in his comment.

The White House condemned Musk’s post on X as an “abhorrent promotion of anti-Semitic and racist hatred.” Major American companies, including Walt Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery and Comcast stopped advertising on X. Musk has stated several times that he is against anti-Semitism.

AI and Starlink

Furthermore, there is undoubtedly talk of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The American entrepreneur is developing an artificial intelligence startup called xAI. Israel is considered a world leader in artificial intelligence.
